Book: "The 10X Rule".
How different would life be for each of us if we put our full potential into each and every one of our activities and goals,
If you have done so at this moment you surely have an excellent physical condition, your bank account has a considerable amount of money, you have a great family, etc. The problem is that many times we do not put 100% of our effort and therefore the results we get are not extraordinary as we would have liked, but we settle for something average. What Grant Cardone proposes in his book is that, when planning our goals, we should increase them tenfold and be willing to make up to ten times more effort to achieve them.
What if instead of having the goal of increasing your income by 10% in one year, you set the goal of doubling it? What if instead of improving your physical condition a little, you decide that you are going to run a half marathon? There are many goals that we can set, it also depends on the condition and circumstances in which you find yourself in life, because if you are already an older person for you success will be to stay free of diseases, if you have a family will be to share more quality time with them, if you are looking to grow spiritually will be inner peace. These are different goals that we all seek in one way or another, but the recommendation here is to put everything in our power to achieve our goals. If you set big goals your actions must correspond to these goals, do not underestimate the necessary actions and resources that you must take into account for this to be fulfilled, sometimes the goals are great, but we forget to take into account all the activities, energy and resources needed to overcome all the difficulties that may arise along the way.
The book also talks about "Don't reduce your goals, increase your actions". If, for example, we want to improve our relationship with our family, we should invest more quality time with them. If the money we get from our job is not enough, it will not be smart to say "Okay, this is my luck I will have to survive with this", no, if your goal is really to earn more money to invest in you and your family you have to increase your actions, either by training more or looking for alternative sources of income in your free time. The key is to be willing to take the actions you have to take to meet your goals, in the book this is called "taking massive action" and it is the only level of action that will get you closer to your goals. If you take a look at great personalities who have achieved success in business, sports, art or any other discipline, you will realize that a common denominator in all of them is that they have demanded much more from themselves than most people. It is up to us to discipline ourselves and push ourselves to maximum levels, and the results of this demand will be the extra motivation we need to continue achieving greater goals. The key is not to waste our energies and resources on activities that are not worthwhile, since in the end it will be much more satisfying to know that you invested this time improving in an aspect of your life that really needed attention.
The book invites us to take massive actions, it proposes this as rule number one to achieve everything we dream of in life. It is not enough to be satisfied with doing just enough, because in this way you will only achieve average results and the big dreams you have in your life will surely not be achieved by doing just enough. Whenever you have a goal, increase it tenfold and be prepared to make an effort up to ten times greater. Don't settle, you have to go beyond the average, only then you will achieve even more than you ever imagined.
In conclusion, the book advises us to plan for ten times bigger goals and make sure we are willing to take up to ten times more action to achieve them. You have to get out of the average!
I've been where you are now before too. When I first started my dream of starting my own Medical Clinic and was the CEO, I didn't know how to fulfill my responsibilities at work and still be present at home with my family. However, after making changes in my productivity, goal setting and leadership, I was able to take my company forward through an economic recession the country was in and achieve positive results; all while being home in time to have dinner with my family every night.
I now teach the same principles that helped my leadership, along with my team, here at CIME Academy.
