Medical Chemical Peeling Protocol
In Medical-Chemical Peeling Protocol we intend to establish the medical action guidelines regarding the application of the treatment described and determine the diagnosis, treatment, indications and contraindications of the same, material to be used, aftercare and complications that may arise. Peelings are a way of accelerating the natural exfoliation of the skin; this is achieved through the application of exfoliating chemical substances. Their main objective is to create minimal controlled tissue necrosis that stimulates the formation of new tissue. The removal of the stratum corneum leads not only to the elimination of certain skin lesions, but the inflammatory reaction that originates in the layers below the necrosis stimulates epidermal growth. The gentler peels accelerate the renewal of the stratum corneum, and the more aggressive peels produce necrosis and inflammation of the epidermis and/or dermis more or less deeply.
